Our volunteer drivers:
All of our volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to drive our clients.

  Kings Para-Transit has a five-vehicle fleet, which consists of three vans and two mini-buses. Below are the descriptions of each vehicle:
  • 2009 Girardin Mini-Bus
    • Seats 10 passengers or;
    • Seats seat 4 Wheelchairs and 2 passengers
  • 2007 Chevy Star Trans Mini-Bus
    • Seats 10 passengers or;
    • Seats 3 Wheelchairs and 2 passengers
  • 2009 GMC Uplander Wheelchair Van
    • Seats 4 passengers or;
    • Seats 2 Wheelchairs and 2 - 3 passengers
  • 2005 Ford Freestar Minivan
    • Seats 6 passengers
  • 2005 Dodge Caravan

KPT needs to purchase a new accessible minivan to replace its 2005 Ford Freestar Minivan. After purchase, this vehicle will need the necessary conversions applied to have it meet Code D409 as required by the Province of Nova Scotia for a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
